Owner sought after dogs kill Chihuahua in Essex: OPP

Essex OPP are searching for the owner of two dogs, they say killed a Chihuahua.

Officers were called to the Maidstone Conservation Area, located at 1561 Lakeshore Road 206 on Sunday around 1 p.m.

The owner of the Chihuahua was walking her dog in the conservation area, when police say it was attacked by two large dogs – resulting in the Chihuahua’s death.

The first dog is described as a silver brindle Great Dane or Pit-bull mix. The second dog is described as a black and brown German Shepherd. The woman accompanying the dogs identified herself as Susan.

Anyone who may know the identity of the owner is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
