Local kids enjoy indoor March Break block party

Local kids, teens, and families enjoyed an indoor March Break block party on Thursday.

The event was held at the Sandwich Teen Action Group building, co-hosted by the Windsor police and the Canadian Mental Health Association.

“Today is just to have an event for the community to come out and build that community connectedness,” said Jennifer Cline of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex chapter.

Community members from Sandwich and Glengarry were invited as various activities kept the kids busy.

“It’s just a fun place for our youth to have a space to go that’s safe and fun for the day in March,” said Cline.

“We’re also providing food to help some food insecurity issues. It’s just a great day for our families and the kids to come out and celebrate community and bringing community together.”
