Amherstburg police seek information in hit-and-run

Amherstburg police is looking for information following a hit-and-run on Friday.

Officers responded to a collision involving a silver truck and a blue 1994 Oldsmobile Supreme on Howard Avenue and Alma Street around 4:15 p.m.

Through their investigation, police say the truck struck the left side of the car, and took off down Howard Avenue. No injuries are reported.

The truck is described as possibly being a newer silver Chevrolet Silverado with oversized tires, rear tinted windows, possible black roll bar, and large “H” decal. Police believe the truck may have damage along the right side of the vehicle, including the right tire and rim.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
