51 tickets issued during traffic blitz in Windsor and Amherstburg

Windsor police have issued 51 tickets during a traffic in Windsor and Amherstburg.

The Windsor Police Service Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted the Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere program at various locations on Friday, Nov. 28.

Officers stopped and checked 174 vehicles, administering two roadside tests. One three-day suspension was issued.

In advance of the R.I.D.E. program, officers issued 51 tickets for various traffic violations, including speeding, distracted driving (cellphone use), and other offences.
