Police investigating ‘suspicious death’ at Kelowna home

One person has been taken into custody after a “suspicious death” at a Kelowna home Wednesday, according to authorities.

Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Perth Road around 3 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP said in a brief statement.

“Police are currently on scene and investigating a suspicious death in the residence,” spokesperson Sgt. Laura Pollock said, in the statement.

“One person has been taken into custody in connection to the incident. We believe this is an isolated matter and there is no increased risk to public safety.”

Mounties provided no additional information, citing the ongoing investigation.
