Abbotsford home struck by gunshots, major crime unit investigating

The Abbotsford Police Department's Major Crime Unit is investigating after a home on Tolmie Road was struck by gunshots early Saturday morning.

Major crime investigators have been called to an Abbotsford home after an early morning shooting Saturday.

No one was injured in the incident, which unfolded around 3:50 a.m. in the 2700 block of Tolmie Road, the Abbotsford Police Department said in a late afternoon news release.

“At the time of the incident, the occupants were inside the home asleep,” the release reads, adding that the residents were “understandably shaken.”

The Abbotsford Police Department Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is “in the early stages of determining the motive,” police said.
