Hwy. 403 briefly shut down when vehicles caught fire after crash

The OPP posted this photo of the crash on Twitter.

A van that caught fire after a four-vehicle crash forced police to shut down Highway 403 around Dundas Street on Monday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police were on the scene and tweeted that there were minor injuries to those involved in the collision.

The highway was shut down in both directions while crews cleaned up the debris. Highway 403 was reopened in both directions just before 5 p.m.

Photos uploaded by the OPP shows some of the vehicles on fire with clouds of dark smoke billowing upward.
