TORONTO - Toronto FC is proving to be a good draw.

A spokesman for the expansion MLS franchise says the team has already sold more than 10,000 season tickets, with 2,600 coming since news broke that David Beckham is going to the Los Angeles Galaxy. Toronto FC showed off three of its four draft choices today, including first overall pick Mo Edu.

Edu is a defensive midfielder from the University of Maryland.

Other picks on hand were both local players: midfielder Rich Assante and forward Jeff Gonsalves.

The team is looking for a playmaker in central midfield, a left-sided midfielder, a backup goalie and some forward help.

Toronto FC begins play in April.
