ST-MICHEL-DES-SAINTS, Que. - An eight-year-old Quebec girl is dead following a tobogganing accident while out playing with friends.
The girl was riding the sled with two friends when they ran into a tree in St-Michel-Des-Saints, north of Montreal.
Provincial police said the other children were able to jump off the sled before it hit the tree but the third little girl wasn't able to do so.
Police said the youngsters were playing Sunday afternoon on a private road that is not maintained in the winter and where they often played.
