Toronto Rock nab 17-12 victory over Vancouver Stealth

TORONTO - Garrett Billings scored five goals and added four assists as the Toronto Rock downed the Vancouver Stealth 17-12 in National Lacrosse League action on Friday.

Josh Sanderson had three goals and five assists, Kasey Beirnes had three goals and one assist, Jesse Gamble scored twice, and Stephan Leblanc, Colin Doyle, Rob Hellyer Damon Edwards also scored for the Rock (2-2). Leblanc had seven assists to finish with eight points.

Cliff Smith scored three goals and helped on two others, and Rhys Duch had two goals and three assists for Vancouver (2-4). Cody Bremmer, Ryler Digby, Alex Gajic, Nick Weiss, Lewis Ratcliffe, Mike Grimes, and Tyler Garrison each added a goal apiece.

Toronto goalie Nick Rose made 35 saves for the victory.

Vancouver's Tyler Richards played 50:41, allowing 14 goals on 54 shots. Matt Roik played the other 9:18, making six saves on eight shots.
