GOYANG, South Korea - Brad Bowden scored twice as the Canadian men's sledge hockey team nipped Russia 4-3 on Sunday at the IPC world championship.

Greg Westlake and Billy Bridges had the other goals for Canada (2-0), which surged into a 4-0 lead in the first period.

Dmitry Lisov had two goals for Russia while Ilia Volkova had the other, scoring with 19 seconds remaining in regulation.

Canada takes on Korea on Tuesday.
