With the Buffalo Sabres' Friday hockey game postponed and the Buffalo Bills' NFL stadium buried under four feet of snow, athletes from the two teams turned to social media to share their Buffalo snowstorm experiences.

Buffalo Sabres defenceman and dog-lover Tyson Strachan braved the storm on Wednesday to help out at an animal shelter.

Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta got an early start on the snowstorm woes. He was forced to take a snow day and miss Tuesday's home game against the San Jose Sharks.

Some of the Bills were a little more willing to roll with the punches and make the best of the record-setting snowfall.

Injured linebacker Kiko Alonso used the deep snow to help rehab his knee. Alonso posted an Instagram video of himself on Wednesday, shirtless and sitting with his leg buried in the snow.

The best part?

He wears sunglasses the whole time.

Texas-born wide receiver Marquise Goodwin also got in on the shirtless trend. He posted an Instagram photo of himself standing outside with his arms out, wearing nothing but a pair of red shorts.

"This snow doesn't scare me," he wrote in the caption, posted on Tuesday.

Goodwin put up another photo on Thursday that shows him in mid-air as he leaps across the snow. "Walkin' on air," he says in the caption.

"You're really enjoying this," one person said in the post's comment section.

Sabres defenceman Andre Benoit and his daughters took to their backyard before the snow got too heavy to make the snowman from 'Frozen.'

A few former Sabres also got in on the fun. Retired Sabres forward Jay McKee, who still lives in Buffalo, tweeted his own version of the 'snow door' photo that has become so common with this storm.

He also shared a video on Instagram from Tuesday, showing him driving away from the front of the snowstorm.

Former Sabres goaltender-turned-coach Martin Biron cancelled a goalie clinic due to the weather.

Even the Sabres' Zamboni driver couldn't get the snow out of his driveway.
