There are a lot of massage guns out there, each promising to give you an experience better than the rest. With the plethora of options, it’s hard to pick one that’s right for you and your massage needs.
The Toloco Massage Gun has several massager options, is sturdy enough to feel like it will stand the test of time, and is powerful—like, really, really powerful.
The Toloco Massage Gun penetrates deep into the skin for pain-relieving results and runs up to 3200 rpm, so it’s got the power to back it up. After charging for six hours initially, the gun lasts for up to six hours of continuous use, but because of how effective it is, you won’t need to use it for that long. With ten professional massage heads, seven speed options, and a smart LED touch screen, it provides easy useability and pain relief as promised.
When I opened the box for the Toloco Massage Gun, I was a bit confused about the whole thing. It was my first foray into gun massagers, so the learning curve should have got me more than it did. But, because it was so straightforward and came with the easiest-to-understand instructions possible, I was set up and ready to go after a few minutes (and six hours because it’s recommended to charge the device for six hours before the first use).
Once I started playing around with the gun, I realized that this little device packs some power. I went through each of the massage heads one by one on the areas of the body suggested in the instruction pamphlet and found out pretty quickly that the lowest setting is more than enough to give relief in those tight areas. I will say, however, if you’re used to massage guns, you may feel like speed setting number one isn’t enough. When I used the highest setting, seven, it felt like it was rattling my whole body, so if you can handle that level of deep tissue massage, this gun should be on your radar.
The detachable heads were pretty fun to play around with, and it took me some time to maneuver the gun in a pain-relieving way in certain areas, like the back of my thighs and back. Since most heads are made from hard plastic, it hurt a bit in some more sensitive areas, so keep that in mind. The air cushion head was my favourite because it was softer on the skin and had some give, so it wasn’t too hard against my muscles. Again, having only used a massage gun once, I’m assuming that it’s the norm and people well-versed with these will likely enjoy the deep stimulation the gun provides from the sturdy and well-designed attachable heads.
I enlisted the help of my partner to massage those harder-to-reach areas on my back, so if you’re looking for something for those areas, keep in mind you may need a plus one. Once I was done, cleaning the attachments was as easy as taking a damp cloth to them and putting them back into their respective sections in the handy storage bag that comes with the gun.
As a complete massage gun novice, I feel that the Toloco Massage Gun is a fun and effective tool for when you need a deep tissue massage but don’t want to see a professional. The power settings alone were enough to impress me, even though my sensitive body couldn’t handle anything higher than a one. In my opinion, the gun is well worth the money, as long as you have a friend who can come over and do your back, that is.
