Amazon Prime members, rejoice! While everyone knows to mark their calendars in July for Prime Day, Amazon has recently done Canadians a solid and introduced a second exclusive savings event for 2023: a two-day shopping extravaganza dubbed Prime Big Deal Days, running October 10 and 11.
The event will give you access to hundreds of amazing deals, with major discounts on products from your favourite brands. And, the savings will be on par with Amazon Canada’s Black Friday deals (some will actally be better), so you can score them early. Plus, it’s the perfect time to grab some gifts before the holiday season officially kicks off.
To have access to most of these incredible discounts, you’ll have to have an Amazon Prime account. Yes, some deals are universal, but to snag the best of the best, you’ll want to subscribe ASAP. It costs $99 a year (plus tax), but students can get it for only $49 (plus tax). If you’ve never tried it out, you can sign up for a 30-day trial period (seriously, now’s the time).
The benefits of your Amazon Prime account aren’t limited to Prime Big Deal Days, though. You can get free 1-day delivery on many items in most cities, with no minimum purchase required. You also have access to other Amazon services, like Amazon Music and Prime Video, where you can watch Amazon Original series and more. It’ll also give you access to Prime Reading, where you can read a regularly updated selection of books for free.
You’ll want to bookmark Amazon Canada's Prime Big Deal Days page, where all of discounts will be listed. You'll be able to browse by categories if you have an idea of what you’re looking for. On the days of the event, you will find both lightning and ongoing deals to take advantage of.
