WINNIPEG - Two Winnipeg high school teachers who simulated a lap dance in front of students are still awaiting word on their future.

Winnipeg School Division trustees discussed the issue behind closed doors Monday night. Trustee Mike Babinsky says he was given no indication about the progress of the investigation into the case.

He says it may take awhile, as witnesses have to be interviewed and school officials have to decide between a number of options, ranging from not disciplining the teachers to perhaps firing them.

Babinsky, who has already said the teachers should be let go, says he was told at the meeting not to express an opinion because it might jeopardize any case against the teachers.

The male and female teacher performed a sexually suggestive dance last month at a pep rally, and a video of the dance has gone viral on the Internet.
