For Kate, the wait is over. The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth Monday to a healthy baby boy -- a third child for Kate and Prince William and fifth in line to the throne.

The Duchess of Cambridge's third baby weighed in at eight pounds and seven ounces, according to an announcement from the Kensington Palace Twitter account.
The new prince weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
Fans of the Royal Family have their attention trained on the door to St. Mary’s Hospital in London, where the world will get its first glimpse of baby No. 3 after it’s born to Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband, Prince William.
