Serious collision closes highway in Fort Qu’Appelle

Saskatchewan RCMP says officers are on the scene of a serious collision at the intersection of Highways 35 and 56 on the outskirts of Fort Qu’Appelle on Tuesday afternoon.

RCMP said the area will be closed to traffic for an undetermined amount of time, adding that detours are in place and drivers in the area should expect delays.

“As this investigation is in preliminary stages, we do not have additional details to share at this time,” RCMP said in a news release.

In an update at 4 p.m., RCMP revealed that the area has been reopened to traffic.

The investigation continues.
