Burglar breaks into Sask. Tim Hortons through drive-thru window

WATCH: A Tim Hortons in Estevan, Sask. was the subject of an unusual break-in recently, as the suspect entered through the drive-thru window.

A Saskatchewan Tim Hortons was the subject of a recent brazen caper – as a thief broke into the establishment through its drive-thru window.

At around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, the Tim Hortons location on Estevan’s King Street was broken into. Surveillance footage shows the suspect forcibly opened the drive-thru window and climbed inside.

They immediately turn to the register, prying it open. After helping themselves to the contents, the suspect can be seen walking around the establishment, before fleeing.

“This has been an emotional hit for our family and our team. It’s more than a break-in ... it’s a violation of everything we work so hard to build,” owner Mandy Irwin said in a post to social media.

Irwin went on to ask anyone who lives in the area and has security footage around the time of the break-in to contact police right away.

Estevan is located approximately 240 kilometres southeast of Regina.
