Rachel CrowSpreadingWings is a Multi-Skilled Journalist for CTV National News, based in Edmonton.
Rachel has worked as an on-air talent in the media since 2016. Her past roles include anchoring, in-studio/live reporting, and producing. She joined the CTV Winnipeg team in 2020. Before joining CTV Winnipeg, Rachel worked for CityNews Winnipeg and an ABC/FOX affiliate in Great Falls, Montana.
Rachel produced her own TV show in Lethbridge, Alta., before returning to broadcasting school as a single parent of two boys. In 2014, Rachel won the Alberta Equity Scholarship from the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group. She graduated from Lethbridge College in 2015 with a diploma in Communication Arts and a major in Broadcasting.
Outside of work, Rachel is interested in fashion design (Aapunii Creations), singing, and her traditional Indigenous background. Rachel is a member of Kainai First Nation in southern Alberta which is part of the Blackfoot Confederacy.
She continues to follow her dreams of building communication across cultural lines and hopes to inspire others.
