GREENFIELD, N.S. - Police have confirmed a body found in southwestern Nova Scotia is that of a woman reported missing in mid-April who is now at the centre of a murder case.

RCMP say the body of Laura Lee Robertson was found in a wooded area off Highway 210 in Greenfield on Wednesday.

Sgt. Brigdit Leger says the 47-year-old Liverpool woman's identity was confirmed by fingerprints.

Earlier Wednesday, a 31-year-old man from Greenfield was charged with second-degree murder.

James Leroy Leopold has another court appearance scheduled for May.

A number of media reports quoting family members have identified the accused as Robertson's fiance.
