Woman critically injured in Cornwall Hwy. 401 crash

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Cornwall over the weekend.

Officers responded to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between McConnell Avenue and Boundary Road shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.

The 34-year-old driver from Port Hope, Ont. was taken to hospital with “life altering” injuries, police say.

The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing.
