Woman, 84, killed in collision near Morrisburg, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say an 84-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening near Morrisburg, Ont.

OPP said the crash happened at around 6 p.m. on County Road 18 at Heritage Road in South Dundas, about 75 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa.

According to police, the driver of a westbound vehicle on County Road 18 crashed into another westbound vehicle attempting to make a right turn onto Heritage Road.

The victim was airlifted to hospital, where she later died. Police did not release her name.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
