Temperatures in Ottawa to return to the 30s this weekend

Expect another hot and humid weekend in the nation’s capital.

Environment Canada says Saturday’s highs will reach 28 C this afternoon. The humidex will make it feel like 35. There is a 70 per cent chance of showers changing to a 30 per cent chance this afternoon.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers.

Sunday’s forecast shows a high of 33 C. It’s expected to be the hottest day of the week, according to Environment Canada. Humidex levels will make it feel like 41.

Tumultuous weather conditions will continue with a mix of sun, clouds and rain on Sunday. There is a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon with a risk of a thunderstorm.

The evening will be cooler with a low of 18 C.

Next week’s weather outlook shows highs remaining around the mid-20s, about average for this time of year. There will be a mix of sun, clouds and rain over the next few days.

Monday shows a high of 22 C with a 60 per cent chance of showers.

Tuesday shows a high of 25 C with cloudy skies.
