Police looking for kids who talked to luring suspect

Ottawa police are looking for more children who may have had contact with a man charged with luring children online.

William Groves, age 48 of Ottawa, is facing multiple counts of luring a child by computer, one count of possession of child pornography and one count of sexual assault.

Police said when they searched his computer, they found he had allegedly been communicating with many young girls online.

Sixteen girls have been identified, but police are asking parents to contact them if their child has been in contact with any of these screen names used by Groves:

If parents recognize or know their children have been in contact with people using any of those names, they’re asked to contact the Ottawa police’s Internet child exploitation unit at 613-236-1222 extension 5660.

The police investigation dates back to May 2011.
