Police in Kingston, Ont., looking to locate sacred buffalo robe

Police in Kingston, Ont., are appealing for the public’s help to locate a sacred buffalo robe that was stolen from a building last month.

Police say the robe disappeared from a building in the area of Lower Union Street and Wellington Street during the morning of April 7.

“The robe has significant sacred value, and the owners would like to see it returned,” police said in a statement Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information about the buffalo robe is asked to contact Const. Ashley Jackson at [e-mail]. Tips can also be provided anonymously by calling Kingston Police at 613-549-4660, ext. 0.

Police provided no other information about where the buffalo robe was stolen from.
