Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking to identify a motorcyclist who was seen riding on the shoulder of Highway 417 in Ottawa’s west end.

The OPP says the rider was observed travelling at high speeds along the shoulder of the highway near Woodroffe Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

“An officer received minor injuries when they exited their cruiser and attempted to speak with the rider, who took off at high speeds,” the OPP said.
