Man, 18, dies in Hwy. 17 crash near Renfrew

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 17 west of Renfrew, Ont. last week.

Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Highway 17 at Storyland Road at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 13.

The driver, an 18-year-old from Shawville, Que., was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died from his injuries in hospital, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

The eastbound lane of Highway 17 was closed for several between Haley Station and Bruce Street.
