Ottawa-bound lane on Alexandra Bridge closing for repairs Friday

A lane on an interprovincial bridge connecting Ottawa and Gatineau will be closed for repairs on Friday.

According to a statement from Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), the Ottawa-bound lane on the Alexandra Bridge will be shut to traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lighting repairs.

The department says Gatineau-bound lanes will remain open to regular traffic, and the bridge’s boardwalk will also remain open to pedestrians and cyclists.

According to PSPC, the hours of closure may change depending on weather conditions.

PSPC asks commuters on the bridge to exercise caution while repairs are underway.
