Gatineau police seeking witnesses to hit-and-run in Buckingham

Police in Gatineau, Que. are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run earlier this month that injured a 91-year-old man.

The crash happened at around 2 p.m. April 17, on Buckingham Avenue, south of Maclaren Street in Buckingham. Police said a southbound driver struck a pedestrian and did not remain at the scene.

The 91-year-old victim suffered a laceration to his forehead but was later able to give testimony to police after being treated in hospital.

The make and model of the vehicle involved is currently unknown, but police suspect it would have damage to its driver’s side front bumper and mirror as a result of the crash.
