Fatal crash east of Renfrew

CTV Ottawa: Fatal crash closes Highway 17 Head-on crash kills driver east of Renfrew.

OPP are at the scene of a fatal crash in the Upper Ottawa valley east of Renfrew.

Police say an east bound car and west bound tractor trailer collided this morning, causing a fire. The driver of the passenger vehicle died at the scene.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are at the scene.

Highway 17 between Goshen Road and Gillan Road is closed. Detours are in place.

That section of road will be closed for most of the afternoon.
