Bomb threat prompts evacuation of two Walmart locations

CTV Ottawa: Wal-Marts evacuated over bomb threat A night of shopping came to an abrupt end for customers at two Ottawa Wal-Mart locations.

It was an abrupt end to an evening of shopping for customers at two local Walmart stores.

Police were called in after bomb threats were phoned in to the Walmart stores at Baseline and Merivale and at South Keys.

In both cases store management made the decision to evacuate and called in police.

Shoppers report being told  via PA announcement to leave everything and get out immediately.

Ottawa police say  no suspicious packages were found.  They cleared the scene quickly after determining there was no danger to the public.
