Arnprior man charged with attempted murder after New Year's Day incident

A 23-year-old Arnprior man is facing several charges including attempted murder after what OPP are calling a serious assault in the McNab Braeside Township during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.

Officers were called to a home on Gillies St. near Arnprior just before 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 1. They had received information that several people were injured by a man with an edged weapon.

When officers and paramedics got to the house, they found a female and two males with injuries. One male suffered a serious wound and was taken to hospital. The other two victims suffered minor injuries. The suspect had taken off by the time police arrived.

At around 3:15 p.m. later that day, police found and arrested a male suspect. 23-year-old Kory Robillard-Delahunt of Arnprior is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and four counts of uttering threats.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Monday.
