Northern Ont. man accused of exposing himself to kids near a school

A northern Ontario man, 63, has been charged with indecent exposure and performing an indecent act in front of children near a school last fall, Ontario Provincial Police say.

On Oct. 28, 2024, at about 3:30 p.m., the Almaguin Highlands OPP detachment responded to a complaint of “an individual exposing themself to children as they were walking home from school.”

OPP said in a news release Friday, more than six months later, that officers identified the suspect following an investigation.

As a result, the South River man is charged with nudity and indecent exposure, performing an indecent act, and indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12 in Sundridge.
