'Just show up' in times of grief: author

Sudbury — An award-winning author, TV and radio host is in North Bay this week and says it’s important to just show up when people are grieving.

Yvonne Heath spent 27 years in nursing and has written a book called Love Your Life to Death.

"When people think of grief, they think of death don’t they?" said Heath. "Grief arrives in whatever makes our heart ache: divorce, diagnosis, job loss."

Heath held a free community presentation Tuesday night at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

The former nurse will be speaking to university, college and high school students at Nipissing University on Wednesday. This event is by invitation only and starts at 1 p.m.
