Maggie Parkhill

Toronto-based Maggie Parkhill joined the digital team at CTV News in the spring of 2020 as a generalist assignment producer covering breaking news, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, she was a copy editor with a focus on arts, life, travel and homes at Postmedia Editorial Services. Maggie was also a reporting intern at The Ottawa Citizen and The Windsor Star, covering local news, and a producer for the digital media project Challenge for Change and accompanying “C4C Conversations”.

Maggie attended the University of Windsor, where she received an Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honours and a certificate in Politics and Law. She also earned a Master of Journalism degree from Carleton University, where her thesis focused on issues of mental health and assisted dying policy in Canada. During her graduate degree, she was the recipient of the Harold A. Morrison Fellowship and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
