Since joining CTV News' incipient national digital team to focus on streaming video in 2000, Kieron Lang has gone on to write, produce and edit its coverage of the gamut of history.
Working at the CTV News national newsroom in Toronto, Kieron now kick-starts the news team early weekday mornings, guiding the editorial team to chronicle the day's events on the web and social media, covering everything from breaking news and political coverage to health, science, entertainment and lifestyle stories.
Kieron is a dedicated member of the hard-working team that won the RTDNA's Digital Media Award, the Canadian Online Publishing Awards' Best Media Website and Best Digital Solution awards in 2015. The following year, he shared in the Ron Laidlaw Award for continuing coverage awarded by the RTDNA for the CTV News digital team's federal election coverage.
Kieron's prior journalistic work experience includes hosting a weekly radio news broadcast, independent documentary production and at CBC News digital in Toronto. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in politics and sociology from McGill University and studied Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University.
Kieron speaks English and French, and might understand German, if you speak to him sehr langsam.
