ContactBen Cousins joined CTV News’ national digital team in Toronto in September 2017, where he has been a part of the website’s daily news coverage, as well as being part of their reporting for the 2018 U.S. mid-term elections, the royal wedding and the 2018 Winter Olympics. On a day-to-day basis, he can be found writing stories of national interest surrounding crime, politics, sports, business, health and science.
As a student at the University of King’s College in Halifax, N.S., Ben won the “Newzulu Student Award for Photojournalism” at the 2014 Atlantic Journalism Awards and later attended the Canadian Military Journalism Course at the University of Calgary.
Ben has a undergraduate degree in communications, with a concentration in media industries and institutions, from Carleton University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of King’s College. He has bylines in the Chronicle Herald, The Canadian Press and The Star Halifax.
He speaks both English and French.
