Sun-filled Friday teasing summer-like conditions this weekend

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison says bright and sunny conditions Friday will be long-lasting.

Grab your sunglasses Friday morning – it’ll be a sun-filled day around the region.

“It’ll be cool first thing [Friday] morning, but temperatures slowly coming up in the afternoon,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “The winds will be light and variable through the afternoon.”

That sunshine continues into the weekend.

“Lots of sunshine in the forecast on Saturday and a nice warming trend for the weekend on Sunday,” said Atchison. “Feeling like summer Sunday into Monday, daytime high hitting 26 [degrees].”

Atchison says the stretch of warm days and sunny skies will continue well into next week.

Here’s a look at the rest of the forecast

Friday: Sunny. Wind becoming north 20 km/h near noon. High 16.

Friday night: Clear. Wind northwest 20 km/h becoming light early in the evening. Low plus 1 with patchy frost.

Saturday: Sunny. High 19.

Sunday: Sunny. High 20.

Monday: Sunny. High 26.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 24.
