SIU ends investigation of collision involving snow plow

A crash injuring two females was investigated and terminated by SIU.

The investigation of a crash involving two injured individuals, a police cruiser and snow plow has been terminated by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

The collision occurred on February 17, 2025, when a police officer was assisting a snow vehicle in the ditch. While parked along the road, a snow plow hit the cruiser and pushed the car into two females standing beside their snow vehicles, one 46 years old and the other 17 years old.

They were transported to the hospital and diagnosed with several fractures and dislocations.

The investigation was discontinued by the SIU, as it found the police officer wasn’t criminally liable for the injuries of the two individuals.
