Serious crash between golf cart and car near Lambton Shores

Lambton OPP say two people were injured in a serious collision involving a golf cart and a car near Lambton Shores.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday on Lakeshore Road near Indian Hills Trail.

Investigators say a northbound Pontiac collided with a golf cart, and the car then flipped over into a ditch trapping the female driver.

Firefighters extricated the woman from the car and paramedics from Thedford and Forest also responded to the scene.

Barbara Mann, 76, of Bosanquet, was transported to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.

The driver of the golf cart, 51-year-old John Boris of Forest, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Drivers were asked avoid the area following the crash, however the road reopened around 10 a.m.

Lambton OPP say the investigation into the collision continues.
