Serious charges issued against sexting youths

Laws from the pre-smartphone era are colliding with the reality of today's high schools in recent sexting cases across the country.

Two young teens are facing serious charges after allegedly sharing nude photos of a 13-year-old girl.

Oxford County OPP were called to investigate a sexting incident that occurred between Feb. 1 and March 5.

The allegations involve a 13- and 14-year-old boy being in possession of images of the young girl.

All three were known to each other prior to the alleged incident.

The two males are charged with possession of child pornography and distributing child pornography. The 14-year-old is also charged with breach of recognizance.

The males were both held for a bail hearing.
