Search continues for male who reportedly jumped from Blue Water Bridge

Lambton OPP have called in the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit as the search continues for a male who witnesses say jumped from the Bluewater Bridge.

Police were called to the westbound lanes of the bridge around 10 a.m. on Thursday for reports a driver had abandoned his vehicle and allegedly jumped into the St. Clair River.

The Canadian and U.S. Coast Guard, as well as emergency crews and police from Sarnia had been assisting with the search on Thursday.

The Lambton OPP Marine Unit is continuing to patrol and search the river.
