Man dies downtown after altercation

London police are investigating a sudden death in the downtown core.

Officers were called to the intersection of Dundas and Richmond just before 4 p.m., Friday where a man had collapsed on the sidewalk.

He was transported to LHSC where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators were told that moments before his collapse the man was involved in a physical altercation with another man.

Both men knew each other and police want to speak with the other person involved.

An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday to determine if his death was natural or related to the altercation.
