Man charged with sexual assault facing additional charges for the sexual assault of a minor

A London man is facing additional charges related to an ongoing investigation by police into two sexual assaults.

According to London police, a school-aged boy was inside a building in the 1100 block of Hyde Park Road when he entered a public washroom on May 2.

Police say the suspect entered the same washroom and touched the victim in a sexual manner.

The victim quickly left and told a family member about the incident.

London police say the victim and the suspect do not know each other, and the victim did not receive any physical injuries.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, and sexual interference with person under 16 years of age.

The accused remains in custody.
