London police investigate sexual assault in city’s north end

Police are searching for a suspect after they say a female was sexually assaulted in north London.

According to investigators, it happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on a trail near Edgevalley Road.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man between 60 and 70 years old with a slim to muscular build. He has short, light brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark shirt and a face covering at the time of the incident.

Members of the London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section are continuing to investigate.
