Impaired by drug charge in Huron County

A Goderich resident has been charged after a traffic stop on May 28.

According to Huron County OPP, officers were on Cambria Road in Goderich when they were notified by a concerned citizen of a possible impaired driver.

Police quickly located and stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired driving.

They were taken to an OPP detachment for a drug test, which they failed, police say.

The 57-year-old Goderich resident was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for one week and the accused driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
