Collision with hydro pole leads to careless driving charge

A man has been charged with careless driving after a collision with a hydro pole in Lucan.

On Wednesday evening just before 6 p.m., emergency services were called to Denfield Road for reports of a single vehicle rollover.

Police said the investigation showed the vehicle left the road, rolled, and hit a hydro pole. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Following the investigation, the driver, a 70-year-old from Denfield, was charged with careless driving.

Denfield Road was closed between Prince William Road and Maple Lodge Drive for a few hours as hydro crews replaced the pole.
