Vice-chair of Waterloo Catholic District School Board steps down from role, will continue as trustee

There has been another change at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

In an update on Wednesday, the board said vice-chair Linda Cuff stepped down on Tuesday, but will continue to serve as a trustee.

The announcement comes after former chair Bob Sikora resigned from his post last month. He will also continue on as a trustee.

On Tuesday, Trustee Renee Kraft was selected to replace Sikora.

During the voting process, both Kraft and Cuff received four votes from their fellow trustees, forcing a tie-breaker decided by drawing numbers.

Kraft’s name was ultimately drawn, making her the new chair.

Now that Cuff has stepped away from the position, a new vice-char will be elected at the board meeting on April 28.
