Police investigating stabbing in Kitchener that sent one man to hospital

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a stabbing that sent a 21-year-old Cambridge man to hospital Friday night.

Officers were called to a residence in Kitchener near Madeline Street and Maitland Street around 9:10 p.m. following reports of a stabbing.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the incident was isolated and say the victim and suspect are known to each other. Investigators say there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is ongoing and being handled by the General Investigations Unit.
