Police investigating fatal collision in Wilmot

One woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Wilmot Township.

Emergency services responded to a crash involving a Toyota sedan and Chevrolet sedan at the intersection of Nafziger Road and Berletts Road around 8:30 a.m.

Police said the driver of the Toyota, a 75-year-old Wellesley woman, was transported to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 47-year-old Kitchener woman, was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
